Jackie Almond paints semi-abstract landscapes, interiors and still life that evoke an atmosphere of stillness and silence. Her early work as a colourist of antiquarian prints gave her an understanding of light and tone; both of which remain central to her practice. A strong sense of place, both past and present, runs through her work and informs many of her paintings.

For many years Jackie divided her time between London and France and she now lives and works on the Suffolk coast. Her paintings have been exhibited twice at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition; as well as galleries in London and elsewhere in the UK.
